Measures Emotional Intelligence and its 5 dimensions – Self awareness, Self regulation, Motivation, Empathy, Social skills.
It is designed based on model / constructs described by Daniel Goleman in his book “Working with Emotional Intelligence” (1998, Bantam Books).
This test was developed by M. Kamini under the guidance of Rajeev B Bhatnagar. In her study of a sample of executives, the correlation between scores on this test and their performance appraisal ratings was 0.44.

|
Measures "general intelligence factor" (abbreviated as “g”), which quantifies the factor common to scores of all intelligence tests.
According to Schmidt and Hunter "for hiring employees without previous experience in the job the most valid predictor of future performance is general mental ability." American Psychological Association states that IQ scores account for about one-fourth of the social status variance and one-sixth of the income variance (See Wikipedia article on IQ). Test of International English (TIE)

|
Measures a combination of two aptitudes - Language usage and Verbal reasoning.
The constructs measured by this test are also measured by “Differential Aptitude Tests” published by Psychological Corporation, USA, but the similarity ends there. The difficulty level of Verbal reasoning is much higher in this test. The items used are qualitatively different and are based on the book “Test Yourself” by Jim Barrett.
Language ability is a necessity for careers in journalism and teaching that need high language felicity. Verbal reasoning is the ability to understand verbal concepts and to do logical reasoning in verbal problems. Verbal ability is helpful in professions such as law, personnel administration, management and psychology.
The test, prepared by R. Jagan Raj, poses 15 questions selected randomly from a database of 30.
|
|
Measures general verbal abilities to understand, reason, and express in English language. A wide variety of items are used to cover all dimensions of verbal ability. It is suitable in selecting for all professions (and organizations) in which work will be done primarily in English language. It is specially suited for selection for careers in journalism, teaching, law, personnel administration, management and psychology.
This test was developed by SERIC (Society for Educational Research and Industrial Counseling). The difficulty level is appropriate for professionally qualified people (B Tech / MBA / MCA / Equivalent). Has been used in selection of other graduates – e.g., staff for international call centers - but is perceived as “difficult” by some of them.
