Knowing the Prospective Employer

Another good reason: Some interviewers feel flattered if they find that you have taken the trouble of finding about their company!

  • Locate the company's website & links using a search engine.

  • Search India Infoline's database of over 2000 corporates in India.

Writing a Good Resume

When applying on your own, your resume (as a fresher) should be maximum two pages. Some helpful links are here

Success in Written Tests

Several companies use Intelligence Tests and Aptitude Tests in their selection process. It is an excellent idea to practice similar tests. There is an average increase of 10 to 15% in your score by practicing. Here are some places you can practice for free:

Rozie's Check your IQ Test
Test has 60 Questions. One of the most popular on internet.

Self Discovery Workshop's IQ Test
Test has 38 Questions, to be done in 13 Minutes. Again one of the most popular on internet

Majon's Online IQ Tests
There are 4 IQ Tests here, each with increasing difficulty. There is a free "Test Preparation Center" to guide about preparation for GRE, GMAT, LSAT, SAT, MCAT for college admissions. Also music to lighten the mind!

Queendom's Classical Intelligence Test
Test has 60 questions, takes between 45 to 60 minutes.

What is the difference between Intelligence and Aptitudes Tests?

Aptitude tests that will be used at your level (MBA or BBA graduates), will mostly test a sub-factor from Intelligence Tests.

Dressing and Business Etiquettes

Many young students do think – as I too used to when I graduated – that dressing is not important. Many years later, I realized that I could not have been farther from reality.

In fact dressing, proper grooming (hair cut & style etc.), etiquettes are the things each interview panel member is certain to see though he may not be able to judge the depth of our knowledge in the limited 30 minutes of interaction. Similarly when one panel member is interacting with you, the others have time to notice your dressing, body language and the like.
