360 Degree Feedback is a fascinating tool for personal development. We have linked here a cost effective facility for HR professionals to experience & experiment with this powerful tool. It was developed & provided by Ms Varsha, BE (Electronics Engineering) & MBA (HR).

You can experience it by putting yourself (or a small group in your organization) through a 360 Degree Feedback Assessment. The competencies measured and steps are outlined below.

 Competencies Measured

The instrument measures following eight competencies in you:

Communication, Leadership, Adaptability, Relationships, Task Management, Production, Development of Others, Personal Development.

 Step in Assessment

  • 1. Email to the Moderator ( 360@datazone.in) and finalize the schedule for Online Assessment.

  • 2. You should identify 6 to 9 people from whom you would like to receive feedback. Preferably speak to them about it and send their details (name and
        email-id) to the Moderator.

  • 3. The identified people should know you reasonably well to give valid feedback and must include

  • Your Boss / Boss’s Boss / Senior Colleague : 2 Numbers
    Peers / Colleagues : 2 Numbers
    Direct Reports : 2 Numbers
  • 4. Moderator would email them the webpage (link, login and password) where they would rate you in an Online Questionnaire. Completing it takes about
         20 to 25 minutes. Moderator would also track completion & remind them, if they forget.

  • 5. Moderator will also email you a webpage (link, login and password) where you would be doing a self assessment.

  • 6. On completion of the above 7 to 10 ratings, results would be consolidated and analyzed by Moderator.

  • 7. Final Report will be emailed to you.

 Final Report

The Final Report is about 29 pages in length and consists of 7 parts:

1 Executive Overview Score on each competency – All Observers versus Self. 1
Section Summary Competency wise score given by Bosses, Peers, Direct Reports, Self, All Observers. 4
Sub Category Wise Details (Reference Group Analysis) Eight competencies are divided into 18 sub-competencies. Here Sub-competency wise score given are analyzed. 5
Section & Question Ranking Strengths & weaknesses are identified based on score on each competency and each question in the instrument 2
5 Question Wise Details Score on each question given by Bosses, Peers, Direct Reports, Self, All Observers is analyzed. Pinpoints the specific area of strength and / or improvement. 11
Correlations Identifies the competencies / sub-competency causing high / low overall scores. 1
7 Sub Category Wise Details (Standard Reference Group Analysis) Same as Report # 3, but compares your scores with that of a ‘Standard Reference Group’ (a large sample of managers in your organization or outside). 5

 Premium Service

Presently this service is provided by M/s Data Zone and is not free. The current charges are INR 750/= ( Seven Hundred & Fifty Only) for one Online Assessment. One Online Assessment includes rating of one Assessee by 6 to 9 people chosen to give feedback and the Final Report in softcopy.
